A superb local spot, reached via boat which can be hired from Swanage. The rocky drop offs and seabed are awash with marine life, such as Dog Fish, Undulate Rays, pink Gurnard fish, and shoals of Bib. Great for drift diving. A real gem when the visibility is high.

A popular site due to it’s shallow depth with easy access. The tanks were were part of operation SMASH in preparation for the forthcoming D-Day landings of 6 June, 1944. Their top secret design that allowed them to float but during testing in the bay a few of them had design failures and sank. Now they sit proudly awaiting inquisitive divers.

One of the best shore dives of the gently sloping pebble beach. Once in the water the seabed drops more steeply where you can see Ballan and cuckoo wrasse, spider and edible crabs, pollack, bib, and mackerel. A number of wrecks are also available.
